Montgomery
County, MD: Kevin Zeese, who this week announced he is exploring a U.S.
Senate campaign, will be hosting a Downing Street Party to highlight
the meeting held three years ago this Saturday by Tony Blair and his
cabinet where they were told the U.S. was "fixing" the intelligence to
support the invasion of Iraq.
“The Downing Street Minutes are the smoking gun that confirms
that the Bush Administration misled the nation into an unnecessary
invasion of Iraq,” said Zeese who is a co-founder of the
AfterDowningStreet Coalition that is seeking an Article of Inquiry –
the first step toward Impeachment.
Zeese, who has written
extensively on the Downing Street minutes and related issues concluded:
“There is no more serious crime then plunging the United States into
war by deceiving Congress and the American people – actions that have
led to the deaths of more than 1,700 soldiers and tens of thousands of
Iraqis.”
The commemorative event will be a party where
attendees will be discussing and describing the minutes and planning
next steps toward working toward an Article of Inquiry. In addition,
attendees will be having fun meeting others who want to see the truth
come out.
