Internet users should be
able to access content and posted material without limitations from
Internet service providers. This principle of Net Neutrality is in
jeopardy. Earlier this year, Congress voted in favor of the
Communications Opportunity, Promotion and Enhancement Act (COPE).
Rep. Ben Cardin voted in favor of this bill. COPE will allow
corporate control over the Internet, enabling telecom and cable
corporations to determine which Web sites are most accessible. We
don’t need corporations controlling the Internet. The Internet
should remain a free enterprise for independent communication and
expression. For more on this see: Independent
Net.
