Zeese Proclaims: “Party Bosses Getting Their Choice-Candidates, Primary System Flawed”

Baltimore, MD:  U.S. Senate Candidate Kevin Zeese tonight will use his time in the final candidate forum before the Primary to describe the flawed nature of the Primary system in Maryland.

“When this campaign began the Republican leadership picked Michael Steele, and the Democratic leadership picked Ben Cardin.  It looks like they will get what they want in a primary system that has been manipulated to prevent challengers from gaining any traction,” said Zeese.  Zeese will point to the exclusive, rather than inclusive, televised debates, the fundraising advantage of the leadership candidates and the Party machinery being used to help the leadership candidates.

The forum will be held at 7 PM at:

Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (Dalsheimer Auditorium) 7401 Park Heights Ave. Baltimore, MD

Zeese will also point to the misleading campaigns of the two leaders.  Rep. Cardin claims to be a “peace candidate” despite voting 7 times for funding the Iraq occupation – costing taxpayers more than $300 Billion – and 5 times against developing an exit strategy.  He has a 100% pro-war voting record since the war began. And Lt. Gov. Steele avoids mentioning that he is a Republican in his commercials claiming he will tell the truth about both parties when in fact he served as the Chairman of the Republican Party in Maryland and has been funded almost completely by the Bush administration.  “These campaigns of mass deception mislead the voters by trying to reshape these traditional party members as outsiders because voters want change.  Hopefully, the media and public won’t be fooled.”
