Writer John Walsh is urging radio talk show host Al Franken to debate Kevin Zeese on the Iraq occupation.  Franken, who favors continuing the occupation of Iraq, is out of step with most Democratic Party voters in his support for the war.

The article below examines a historic first -- three parties uniting behind one US Senate candidate.  An excerpt from a comment by Doug McNeil of the Libertarian Party of Baltimore:

"What we did -- or rather what Kevin did -- seems to be unprecedented.  As far as I can tell, no one has ever been nominated by both the Libertarian and Green Parties, anywhere in the country. Richard Winger, the Editor of Ballot Access News, told me that he knew of no other case where this had happened. It's an impressive testimony to Kevin's considerable political ability."

U.S. Senate candidate Kevin B. Zeese has completed the triple crown of minor-party nominations, securing up the backing of the Populist Party.

Zeese previously won the nominations of the Libertarian and Green parties as part of a "Unity for Change" campaign. The newest addition, the Populist party, ran Ralph Nader's presidential campaign in 2004.

On Saturday afternoon, June 10, 2006, Ralph Nader, a 3rd Party candidate for the presidency in 2004, spoke at a political rally, held in a conference room at the U. of Baltimore’s Langsdale Library. (1) The primary purpose of the affair was to boost the candidacy of Kevin Zeese, who is running as an Independent candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maryland. In 2004, Zeese served as Nader’s press secretary. (2)

Local activists rally to raise awareness about what they see as a crisis for Frederick

FREDERICK -- With the development of a new biodefense campus on Fort Detrick just around the corner, local anti-expansion activists rallied Sunday afternoon to bring awareness to what they see as a crisis for Frederick.

"This is a slippery, dangerous slope," said Kevin Zeese, who spoke at the event and is a Green Party candidate for Senate. "To create bioweapons and new ways of deploying them is creating a big risk."
